About my job

Why did you choose to take up an apprenticeship?

I choose to take up an apprenticeship so I could become a fully trained and qualified Carpenter. I have always been interested in the building trade and the opportunity to be able to become a qualified carpenter whilst earning a living was a real bonus.

What attracted you to the industry?

I have friends who are currently working in the industry and they all really enjoy what they are doing. I also really like how flexible this type of career can be.

What attracted you to Crest Nicholson?

Crest Nicholson is a large corporate company with developments all over the southern half of the UK, they are well known within the industry and this was a real draw for me. I also felt that this would be a company I could build a career with.

Are you enjoying the programme?

Yes I really enjoy the programme – it is good fun.

What is the best part of the programme?

Would you recommend other people follow the same route?

Yes definitely.

What are your career aspirations when the course finishes?

When I have finished my course I would like to go on to being a Trainee Site Manager and hopefully work my way up the career ladder from there.
